    JEFFERSON CITY - Sen. Tim Green, D-St Louis, wants to make it easier for Missouri senior citzens to obtain a drivers' license under the new "show me proof" laws.

    Green wants drivers over the age of 70 be exempt from the requirements.

    JEFFERSON CITY - State Auditor Claire McCaskill accused Missouri's adoption service of incompetance and mismanagement.

    McCaskill says the Department of Social Services' data on foster children is inaccurate.

    JEFFERSON CITY - Missouri's congressional delegation plan to continue to fight the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers latest draft that will induce two Missouri River spring rises.

    The spring rises are expected to help the endangered pallid sturgeon.

    . SEMA Trains Case Managers of Hurricane Evacuees and Families (10/25/05)

    JEFFERSON CITY - SEMA provided an all-day training session for case managers working with evacuees of Hurricane Katrina and Rita.

    The training is being provided by the Missouri United Methodist Disaster Response Team.

    . Government Officials in Missouri Watch Bird Flu (10/25/05)

    JEFFERSON CITY - Bird Flu hasn't hit American shores yet, but state officials are watching the disease as it continues to spread overseas.

    A bird specialist with the Missouri Department of Conservation, Andrew Forbes, says if the flu were to infect wild birds in and around the state, there's nothing the Department could do.

    State veterinarian, Shane Brookshire, says that while it's a good idea to prepare, there is currently no threat.

    JEFFERSON CITY - Gray's execution is scheduled for Wednesday. A jury convicted Gray on two counts of first degere murder, for the murders of sisters.

    JEFFERSON CITY - Medicare officials have designed online tools to help people search for and compare the first-ever prescription drug plans under the service.

    Despite the promised mid-October unvailing, many tools are still unavailable.

    . MOSERS to remove investments with terrorist ties. (10/24/05)

    JEFFERSON CITY - The Missouri State Employees Retirement System board of trustees voted to screen it's investments for terrorist ties.

    It will cross-check it's investments with lists of stocks and funds with terrorist links.
