The Missouri State Retirement System board of trustees voted unanimously to remove any investmuents with terrorist ties.

The system will buy lists showing what stocks and funds have links to terrorist organizations -- and cross-check them against it's investments.

Board member and State Treasurer Sarah Steelman says one of the lists will cost about 15-thousand dollars alone.

Senator Jason Crowell is also on the MOSERS board.

He says the system will implement the checks using existing staff immediately -- but it won't know the cost of all of the changes until November 17th.
