HB 2251 Sponsor:Johnson, Michael Status: H Financial Institutions Description: Require the Kansas City Land Bank to file a quiet title action in which the land bank agency has an interest. Current law just authorizes such an action. A land bank acquires real estate abandoned or forclosed for failure to pay tax taxes on the property and then can sell the real estate.
