    Description: Extend legislative term limits from a maximum of eight years service in a chamber to a maximum of 16 years in a chamber. The HCS keeps the current 16-year limit for legislative service, but allows all 16 years to be in one chamber. The current voter-approved provision limits a person to no more than eight years in the Senate and eight years in the House, with an extra term allowed for persons elected to fill a vacancy in the second half of the term.
