Bill goes to Senate that limits lawsuit damages

The Missouri House has sent a bill to the Senate that would limit liability lawsuits and awards. Monica Walter reports from the state Capitol.

A bill passed in the House Thursday that aims to limit how much money can be awarded in medical malpractice and liability lawsuits.

St. Louis County Reo. Richard Byrd is the sponsor of the bill. He says that medical malpractice suits are limiting access to health care.
