Some state lawmakers are suggesting the idea of a special session for a prescription drug plan. Travis Thompson has more from the state Capitol.

Funding for the Senior Rx program expires in December of next year.

Senate minority floor leader Maida Coleman says there may be issues to warrant a special session to extend the program.

The State House failed to pass an extension of the funding for the Senior Rx program last year.

If funding is not extended, seniors will have to wait until July 2006 for the program to resume.
