A two dollar loaf of bread in the super market aisle will not cost two dollars at the register despite a cut in the state food tax.

The 3-cent reduction does not eliminate education, conservation, and local taxes added to the price of food.

The state's Budget Director is Mark Ward.

On average, you'll see a tax decrease of three percent. That will save you six cents on a two dollar loaf of bread.
