Thousands mourn Carnahan

Mourners filled the streets of Jefferson City and covered the South lawn of the Capitol to honor Missouri's 51st governor. Erin Guyer has more from the State Captiol.

As over 10-thousand people gathered to mourn the loss of Governor Mel Carnahan, speakers paid tribute to Carnahan as a public servant and as a person. US Representative Jim Talent said Carnahan always but others first, in politics and in private.

President Clinton also honored Governor Carnahan and spoke about his ability to overcome great odds in bringing improved healthcare and education to Missouri.
