State Representative Wayne Crump gained the Majority Floor Leader position because his opponent, Gracia Backer, withdrew from the election just before the vote.
Crump says he will bring his own leadership style to the Majority Floor Leader position.
Crump also says he will try to maintian a good working relationship with the House Republican minority.

Democratic State Representative Gracia Backer withdrew from the Majority Floor Leader election allowing Wayne Crump to gain the position uncontested.
Crump says maintaining party unity is his goal for the next session.
House Speaker Steve Gaw received the Democratic Caucus nomination to run in the House Speaker election in January.
