Democratic party spokesman, Tony Wyche says he hopes Nixon and U-S representative William Clay can agree on a way to end desegregation themselves first.

Neither side has asked the democratic party for its help.

Wyche says the party doesn't know how it can help yet or if it needs to. But, he says it will get involved if both parties ask.
