John Hancock says Bekki Cook should watch what she accuses him of...she does the very same things, only worse. KBIA's Jennifer Horton has the details on the race for Secretary of State.

Bekki Cook's latest accusation... John Hancock has received a letter from the Missouri Ethics Commission saying he has not fully complied with campaign contribution reports.

During a press conference at the capital, Hancock says he did receive this letter, but that Cook has received six of those same notices.

Hancock says he has now fallen in line with the Missouri Ethics Commission, despite Cook's claim otherwise.

Cook's campaign manager admits her office did get the six letters, but says the laws were confusing.

"But she does it too" was John Hancock's defense at a press conference in Jefferson City. Jennifer Horton has more from the capital.

John Hancock claims Bekki Cook has to have missed at least as many work days as he has.

He says Cook has raised about one-million dollars for her campaign... either by making illegal phone calls from her office or by skipping work to raise funds.

Hancock says this shows Cook has done the same thing she's been attacking him for during the campaign.

Hancock says according to a newspaper article printed last year, Cook publically admitted to missing work two afternoons a week in 1995.

Bekki Cook's campaign manager says she did miss work, but it was to take care of her children, not to raise funds.
